A Brief History

A very brief history of the choir

The choir started as a meeting between friends in 1989 under the name of the Top Notes Adult Choir. The aim was to create a social friendly atmosphere and to sing together as well as possible. In 1995 the name changed to Westbury Singers when Paul Seath joined as Conductor and Choirmaster. Paul was followed by Maeve Hunter and then by Amy Slevin. Barbara Rushbridge took over as Musical Director in the Autumn of 2014.
